Pinus lambertiana --- Sugar Pine --- Pinaceae
In the white pine group. Bark is relatively smooth. Branches tend to be in pseduo-whorls. There are 5, short leaves (needles) per fascicle.
Sugar pines are the tallest of any Pinus species. The female cone is the longest of any Pinus species.
