Etymology:
 "false lepida," in reference to its past, frequent confusion with E. lepida, which has a similarly large corolla

 None (often mistaken for E. lepida)

Diagnostic Features:

 Resembles E. m. var. micrantha in all features except for relatively large corolla (limb width 1.5–4.8 mm) with a generally
    prominently yellow center (upper throat region)
