Description: |
Annual 5–40 cm, prostrate to ascending, mat-forming. Stem: several from base. Leaf: blade 12–20 mm, length 2–3 × width, elliptic (lanceolate), fleshy, entire, ± glabrous adaxially, generally sparsely powdery abaxially, base tapered, tip acute to round, generally with small tooth. Inflorescence: clusters in axillary and terminal spikes 5–15 cm. Flower: sepals elliptic, ± flat, powdery, ± enclosing fruit. Fruit: ± 1 mm diam; wall generally free from seed, papillate. Seed: horizontal, dark brown, finely wrinkled, margin round. Generally sandy soils, dunes; < 40 m. s Central Coast. |
